Virtual Devices (VD) are well defined encapsulated software modules for the use in the field of communication intelligence and speech technology. VDs are available for different operating systems (Windows, Linux) and different hardware platforms (PC).
MEDAV Open Client Communication Architecture provides, besides the design concept, a framework that transforms the distinct software modules (so called components) to applications and also provides the desired environment for software development, testing and application configuration.
Abstraction, modularisation, task sharing and testing are requirements that must be regarded by a suitable and up-to-date software concept. MOCCA is the framework for developers, in which these and other important aspects must be considered when designing software.
MOCCA - MEDAV Open Client Communication Architecture

MEDAV has participated in a large set of customer specific projects as well as in research projects. Depending on the task to be solved, MEDAV has a set of partners at different universities. We know that the research must lead to practicable solutions used directly by the customer.
The project covers the development and the delivery of a five line interferometer direction finder for the frequency range 30 MHz - 3 GHz. Miniaturized receiving antennas allow for the integration in vehicles or swimming platforms. The use in submarines is possible.
Detection and direction finding of emitters is based on an algorithm developed by MEDAV. Fully automatic operation grants reliable direction finding of mission relevant signals. Tasks defined by operators are continuously worked through by the interferometer direction finder. Result is a fast scanning system describing emitters in time, frequency, bandwidth and direction.
Since 1995 MEDAV has been certified according to the regulations of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 carried out by the LGA InterCert Zertifizierungsgesellschaft mbH.
